Photo Negative Scanner

If you’d like to preserve your old photos and 35mm negatives, then getting a photo negative scanner is the solution for you. Rather than printing your photos and having them lie around or letting your negatives gather dust and deteriorate, you can save them and make them practically new again by scanning them into your computer.

A photo negative scanner can take a photo negative, scan it with an LED scanner and the photo will come out in full color. Not only will you have a digital copy of your photo negative, but it will also be a better one than if you had printed it. Most photo negative scanners come with smart editing software that can automatically increase the colors so that the photo looks more vivid.

If your photo is black and white or sepia, then it will still scan it in and make it look better than before. It will also help remove dust and scratches from those old photos, making them look brand new again. If you think that the image needs more tweaking, then you can also try your hand at editing the photo with the software that comes with the scanner.

You can now share your slides and photos with all your family and friends without them having to squint at it to see the details. All those old memories will come back to life and you won’t have to worry about them gathering dust at the back of the attic.

If you’d like to buy a photo negative scanner, then it is best to get one online with all of the choices open to you and all of the sales that go on every day. You can easily find one in large online marketplaces or in retail websites of specific brands. Both are equally as good, and they offer a lot of different photo negative scanners for you to choose from.

Photo negative scanners have a price range of about one hundred dollars to three hundred dollars, and sometimes even more, depending on what features it has.

We discuss one of our favorites, the Plustek Opticfilm 7300 scanner, on the next page. When choosing a photo negative scanner, keep your budget in mind and don’t overspend. Remember that shipping charges also add to your overall fee for the item.

Just because the scanner is expensive, doesn’t mean that it’s the best option for you. Some 35mm negative scanners have high prices because they come with many features such as a printer and scanner or the ability to scan photographs as well.

These features might sound tempting, but if you already have a printer or a regular scanner at home, then they are unnecessary. Choose based on what you need, rather than what you want and you will save money.

If you find that most scanners are out of your price range, then you can decide to get a second hand photo negative scanner. This will reduce the price by quite a bit, and the device is usually fully functional. Just make sure to check out the person who is selling the device and ask for pictures of the actual unit.

No matter how or where you’re getting a photo negative scanner, when you finally have one you will be able to cherish all of your old memories and photos as if you had just taken them yesterday.
